About This Site
RepJohnBlock.com is a political commentary website about John Block, who represents House District 51 in the New Mexico Legislature.
This is not his website. He did not write it, approve it or pay for it. His official legislative page is on the New Mexico Legislature's website, nmlegis.gov.
Why It Exists
Voters in Otero County deserve an easy way to see how their representative votes, who funds his campaigns and what he has delivered for the district. This site gathers that record in one place and comments on it, sometimes with satire.
How to Read It
The site has two kinds of content, and they are labeled.
Sections written in a mock first-person voice are parody. They are not quotations and Rep. Block did not say them. They are opinion and exaggeration, offered as commentary on his public record.
Sections labeled as the record link to published reporting and to primary sources such as roll-call votes, bill texts, campaign finance filings, court dockets and news articles. Readers are encouraged to follow the links and judge for themselves.
Who Is Behind It
This site is paid for and operated under the direction of Rene Sepulveda. Mr. Sepulveda has supported every candidate who has run against Rep. Block.
Mr. Sepulveda's partner manages the campaign of Grace Nagamine, an independent candidate for House District 51 in the November 2026 general election.
The site and the campaign are separate and independent endeavors. The campaign did not request, authorize, pay for or direct this site, and this site does not speak for the campaign or for any candidate.
Mr. Sepulveda's partner is also a journalist and, under contract, serves as editor of Alamogordo Town News, where much local reporting linked on this site was published.
We disclose these relationships so readers can weigh them.
Rep. Block and his office are welcome to respond to anything published here.

Not the Official Site
This website is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by New Mexico State Rep. John Block, his campaign, his legislative office, the New Mexico House of Representatives or any government body. The use of his name as an elected public figure and title identifies the subject of the commentary and nothing more.
Parody and Satire
Portions of this site are parody. Statements may be written in the first person as though spoken by Rep. Block as satire. They are not real quotations, and no reasonable reader should understand them as statements he actually made or as assertions of fact about him. Illustrations are satirical art and do not depict real events unless a caption identifies the source. Any parody sections are clearly labeled as such.
Factual Content and Opinion
Where this site reports on votes, legislation, campaign contributions or court proceedings, or news articles, it links to the published reporting or public record it relies on. Summaries are made in good faith, but the linked source controls. Headlines, characterizations and conclusions are the publisher's opinion based on those disclosed facts, and are protected speech accordingly.
Court Matters
References to lawsuits or complaints describe allegations and filings in public records. An allegation is not a finding. Pending matters have not been decided unless this site says so and cites the ruling.
External Links
This site links to third-party websites, including news outlets, government databases and campaign finance trackers. The publisher does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content or accuracy.
No Solicitation
This site does not solicit or accept campaign contributions and is not directly tied to any campaign nor funded as such.
Who Paid for This Site
This site is paid for by Rene Sepulveda and operated under his direction. It is not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.
